ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio softball team will head to Akron this week for the 2008 Mid-American Conference Softball Tournament. It is the third straight year that the Bobcats have qualified for the tourney.

Sixth-seeded Ohio will take on third-seeded Bowling Green on Wednesday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m.

Ohio finished the regular season with a 25-24, 10-12 MAC record, while Bowling Green finished with a 17-22, 14-5 MAC record. The Bobcats swept the Falcons in a doubleheader on May 2. Bowling Green leads the all-time series with a 49-34 record.
