Final Results

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-The Ohio women's golf team finished third Monday at the BGSU Falcon Invitational which was played at Stone Ridge Golf Club.

 

The Bobcats finished with a three-round total of 981 (336-319-326) on the par 72, 5,983-yard course. The host Falcons finished first with a total of 946 (315-314-317).

 

Freshman Erin Cahill (Hilliard, Ohio) led Ohio once again with a 237 total (77-79-81), while sophomore Colleen Lienesch (Centerville, Ohio) and sophomore Lauren Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio) shot a 245 (84-80-81) and 246 (87-78-81), respectively. Senior Katie Stafford (Phoenix, Az.) fired a 253 (88-82-83) and sophomore Megan Curran (89-89-83, Dublin, Ohio) carded a 261 to round out the team.


 

 

 

Cahill, Lienesch and Bergman all shot 81s Monday, while Stafford and Curran posted 83s. Cahill tied for second in the tournament's par 5 scoring at +2 (5.17), was third in birdies with three and finished fourth in pars with 32. Additionally, all five Ohio players finished in the top 13 in the tournament in pars.

 

Bowling Green's Jessica McCann and Carley Hrusovsky shared top individual honors with a three-round total of 233.

 

The team will be back in action Friday at the MAC Tournament (Brickyard Crossing GC) in Indianapolis, Ind.
