Day 1 Results

MUNCIE, Ind.-The Ohio women's golf team is seventh after the first day of competition at the Cardinal Classic on the campus of Ball State University. The Bobcats posted a team score of 326, 22 shots off the lead.

 

Ball State is first with a total of 304. The Bobcats are one shot ahead of fellow Mid-American Conference foe Bowling Green.

 

Ohio was led by sophomore Colleen Lienesch (Centerville, Ohio) who fired a seven-over 78 on the 5,909 yard course. Freshman Erin Cahill (Hilliard, Ohio) was two shots back, while senior Katie Stafford (Phoenix, Ariz.) and freshman Jordan Fesh (Toledo, Ohio) each posted 84s. Sophomore Lauren Bergman (Blacklick, Ohio) rounded out the team with a 92.


 

 

 

Kameron Carter of Longwood, Sarah Prascsak of the University of Indianapolis and Rachael Pruett of Ball State lead the individual competition with a three-over total of 74.

 

The second round is scheduled for a 9 a.m. shotgun start Monday.
