ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio football coaching staff has set the format for Saturday's Green & White game presented by American Collegiate Communities. The final spring workout will pit the Green squad versus the White squad and be played as a game with regular football scoring.

The Green & White game can be heard live in the Athens area on WXTQ 105.5 FM. Jason Koma will have the play-by-play while Chad Brinker will serve as the analyst. Fans can also listen via the internet by logging on to www.ohiobobcats.com.

Saturday's contest will consist of four 12-minute quarters with coaches' discretion regarding timing. A full officiating crew will be used. It has not been determined whether the Bobcat quarterbacks will wear the red non-contact jerseys or will be part of the live scrimmage.

The game will begin with the Bobcats' first kickoff return unit taking the ball. Once play begins, there will be four live punts and punt returns within the flow of the game. Should there be need for more punts after that, the play will consist of the snapper, the punter and a return man making a fair catch in order to determine field position.

The annual spring game caps off a full day of activities. The second annual Bobcat Blitz presented by Follett's University Bookstore begins at 10 a.m. with the Gridiron Gallop 5K Run presented by Diagnostic Hybrids. The event also features a 64-team cornhole tournament presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, a sports memorabilia auction presented by University Courtyard and Rufus' Run presented by Diagnostic Hybrids, which is a race for kids 12 and under. In addition, the Marching 110, Ohio University cheerleaders and the Ohio University dance team will perform at Pepsi Tail-Great Park.

For more information on the Bobcat Blitz or to register for events, go to www.bobcatblitz.com.

Ohio Athletics will also be sponsoring a surplus sale. The sale will begin at 12 p.m. at Gate 1 of Peden Stadium. Representatives from the ticket office will also be on hand at Gate 1 for fans interested in purchasing 2007 football season tickets.
