-          With 6:50 remaining in the first quarter, Michael Mitchell recorded his first forced fumble of the season, and the seventh of his career ... Landon Cohen recovered the fumble, marking his second recovery in as many weeks, and the second of his career.
-          With 5:45 remaining in the first, Matt Schulte recorded a 59-yard punt, the longest of his career.
-          With 52 seconds left in the first, Ryan Senser recorded his first career fumble recovery.
-          With 13:06 remaining in the second quarter, Kalvin McRae scored his 31st career rushing touchdown, and his 36th career touchdown.
-          Virginia Tech's first scoring drive was the longest - in terms of plays (12) - that Ohio has yielded this season.

-          Virginia Tech held Ohio to just 114 yard of total offense ... That is the lowest total for an Ohio team since 110 at Akron on Nov. 15, 2005.

-          The Virginia Tech defense recorded 13 tackles for loss.
-          Virginia Tech has won 27 games in a row at Lane Stadium against non-conference opponents.
