Brian Haines is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Bobcats after serving as an assistant coach at Marietta College for three seasons.

Haines will assist the offensive staff and work directly with the wide receivers and offensive line. His role as graduate assistant will also see him coach the scout team defense and assists in scouting by breaking down upcoming opponents' defensive game film.

Prior to his arrival in Athens, Haines was an assistant for Marietta College, his alma mater. Haines coached the wide receivers for two seasons and the secondary for one. He also served as the strength and conditioning coordinator for two years.

Haines played wide receiver at Marietta College where he currently ranks fourth all-time with 118 receptions and sits in fifth place with 1,252 receiving yards.

The 2004 graduate of Marietta is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports administration at Ohio. Haines also earned a master's degree from Marietta in May, 2007.
