FINDLAY, Ohio - The Ohio women's track and field team took sixth place out of 12 teams at the All-Ohio Championships this weekend with Jessie Tanner's school-record toss in the weight throw leading the way.

Tanner (Newark, Ohio), a junior, broke her own record of 55 feet, 7.50 inches that she set just two weeks ago at the Akron Open. Tanner took sixth in the weight throw event with the record setting 55 foot, 9.50 inch heave.

Kari Summers (Troy, Ohio) shaved more than seven seconds of the Bobcats' season-best time in the mile with her 5:06.13 finish, placing third. The sophomore also took third in the 3000 meters with a time of 10:10.67 - her second best time this season and the fourth best for a Bobcat in 2008.

Carime Reinhart (Bascom, Ohio) finished just behind Summers in the 300 meters, taking fourth with a time of 10:12.47. Reinhart also competed in the mile, taking eighth with a time of 5:08.73.

Reinhart and Summers combined with Melissa Wiley (Columbus, Ohio) and Michelle Diez (Pittsburgh, Pa.) to compete in the distance medley, the first time the Bobcats competed in the event this season. The four combined to record a time of 12:28.06 and take fifth place.

Bahiyjaui Allen (Sylvania, Ohio) continued her consistent performance in the shot put this season, taking second place with a 47 foot, 11.25 inch throw. Allen has finished in first or second in the shot put in five of six meets this season.

Cathy Udeani (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) and Ashlee Reynolds (Belpre, Ohio) tied for fifth in the high jump, both with a height of 5 feet, 5 inches, the highest mark in the high jump for a Bobcat this season. Udeani and Reynolds were previously tied for the best with a jump of 5 feet, 4.25 inches.
