Final Results

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Ohio women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the BGSU quadrangular, with the Bobcats placing fourth with 109 team points.

Central Michigan took first with 170 points, the host Falcons were the runner-up with 124 points and Toledo placed third with 128 points.

Melissa Wiley (Columbus, Ohio) took second overall in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.77. Wiley recorded her season-best 8.67 in the event last weekend at the Akron Open.

Wiley took first in the preliminary race with a time of 8.82.

Brittany Vinson (Amelia, Ohio) tied the Bobcats' season-best mark in the long jump, set last weekend by Kristi Sturges (Parma, Ohio), with a leap of 17 feet, four inches.

Christen Bosch (Rockbridge, Ohio) set a new season-best mark in the pole vault with a mark of 10 feet, 11.50 inches. It was more than five inches better than the previous Bobcat best mark this season, also set by Bosch.

Bahiyjaui Allen (Sylvania, Ohio) and Emily Amendola (Beach City, Ohio) finished back-to-back in first and second place, respectively, in the shot put with Allen's throw of 47 feet, 0.75 inches the longest distance of the day. It was the third time this indoor season Allen has eclipsed the 47 foot mark in the shot put. Amendola set her own personal season best throw with a toss of 45 feet, 9.25 inches, almost two inches better than her previous season high.

Other top-three finishes for the 'Cats in Bowling Green included Ashlee Reynolds (Belpre, Ohio) taking third in the high jump and Bosch in the pole vault.

Chanelle Harmon, Ohio's leader in the 60 meter dash, took fifth in the event at the BGSU Quadrangular with a time of 7.99. Her season-best time in 2008 is 7.95, which she has recorded twice.

The Bobcats will be back in action next weekend when they hit the road once again for the All-Ohio Championships hosted by Findlay.
