Dear Bobcat Fans,
I hope this column finds you doing well and enjoying the first part of your summer. With the 2006-2007 academic year now completed, I want to take a few minutes and look back at what has been one of the best years in Ohio Athletics' history in the classroom and in competition.
The top honors awarded by the Mid-American Conference are the prestigious Reese and Jacoby Trophies. As you know, the Reese and Jacoby Trophies are presented on an annual basis for having the best overall athletics teams during that year. The Jacoby Trophy is awarded to the top women's athletics program and the Reese Trophy goes to the top men's athletics program.
As I hope you have seen by now, Ohio University women's athletics have earned the Jacoby Trophy for the 2006-2007 academic year! Ohio Bobcat Club I am pleased to report that the Ohio Bobcat Club is off to a record start in 2007! Currently, over 500 members have already renewed their membership or joined the Ohio Bobcat Club this year. This tremendous support is well ahead of last year's pace. If you have already renewed your support, thank you! If you have not, please take a few minutes and consider at what level you can support Ohio's student-athletes. Your continued support is vital as we focus on sustaining the success reflected above!
Reunion Celebrations We will be welcoming some very special Bobcats back to campus next year. During the 2007-2008 academic year we will celebrate the following significant accomplishments and events:
